I am not quite sure where this post Office was in Swalecliffe, I rather suspect that it was Chestfield PO and that it was wrongly named.

No, it is correctly titled. As far as I can make out it was where Quinney's garage was. There are several cards like this about.There were several post offices in Swalecliffe over the years, but I don't think there was ever a thatched one in
Chestfield (at that time there would have been very few houses there). The only thatched buildings being those around the Barn pub.
